Tracy Hauff is a member of the Oglala Lakota Oyate and focuses her writing on American Indian cultures and histories. Her articles, essays, and poetry have appeared in Articles of a Treaty; The Gift; Navigating Narratives: The Corps of Discovery in Titonwan Territory; Wicazo Ša Review; and Studies in American Indian Literature. She is the author of the books Far From the Forest, Blending Cultures: A Journey of Identity in Lakota Country, The Lakota: People, Culture, and History, and Pté Oyate—Buffalo Nation. Tracy resides in her homeland of He Sapa, and when she is not reading, writing, or researching, you will find her hiking in the beautiful Black Hills or Badlands wilderness.
